Greek In-Country language program
The Greek In-Country language program is an excellent opportunity for students to experience Greek culture first-hand. Offered in July each year, the program is available for everyone over 18. In 2026, the program will be delivered in Intensive 4 (29 June – 17 July) 2026.We offer three streams: beginners, intermediate and advanced. It combines coursework taught by lecturers from CDU, the University of the Aegean, and other Greek educational institutions. This intensive three-week program is equivalent to a full unit of Greek language study. The program may include Kalymnos and other islands, Athens, and a study trip in the northern mainland region of Macedonia. The teaching approach is varied, including traditional classroom learning and educational visits to museums and archaeological sites. However, the experience of fully immersing yourself in contemporary Greek life and culture will give you the most benefit from the program. CDU offers many options if you wish to study the Greek language. You can select Greek through a Diploma of Languages, the Bachelor of Arts, or as an elective or independent studies unit as part of another Higher Education course.
